DAAD USA Short Term Research Grants
Short-term grants to do research in Germany are awarded for 1-6 months to highly qualified candidates who have completed a Master’s degree or Diploma, or in exceptional cases a Bachelor’s degree at the latest by the time they begin their grant supported research, or those who have already completed a PhD (postdocs).
Applications for short-term research grants are accepted twice annually, usually in November and May. The deadline for November 2017 the 4th of November.
Influenster Scholarship for Women
In celebration of outstanding undergraduate and graduate women in technical fields of study, we launched the Influenster Scholarship for Women In STEM to recognize them and give them the resources they need to advance in their disciplines and eventually pursue their dream careers in STEM.

NIAID Emerging Leaders in Data Science Fellowship Program
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is accepting applications for the NIAID Emerging Leaders in Data Science Fellowship Program in the OSMO Office of Data Science and Emerging Technologies, the participant will receive training and hands-on-experience in applying and managing big data, bioinformatics strategies and computational platforms and tool development to study infectious, immunological, and allergic diseases in both extramural and intramural divisions at NIAID and will receive training in the intersection and management of big data and disease-oriented data-intense research efforts.

This nonprofit is dedicated to "increasing the number of women in portfolio management and executive leadership in the asset management industry." Freshman and sophomore women are encouraged to apply to their summer program, which includes four weeks of learning core finance and investment concepts and then a six-week paid internship that they secure for participants.

Influenster Scholarship for Women in STEM
This $1,000 scholarship is available to undergraduates and graduate students in technical fields of study. It can be used to pay for tuition or related academic expenses.

2018 NASA Space Technology Research Fellowships
This fellowship provides a $36,000 stipend, as well as support for tuition, health insurance, conference attendence and a faculty adviser. Open to graduate students who are pursuing or plan to pursue master's and/or doctoral degrees in space technology fields, this will also provide support for onsite tenure at NASA centers across the country. McMurray Stern Engineering Scholarship
A $500 scholarship for the spring 2018 semester is available to the student who writes the winning essay about his or her future career and educational objectives in industrial engineering. Applicants must be U.S. citizens at an accredited college or university who do not have full academic scholarships already. Essays must be at least 500 words.

Rice University FIRST Scholarship
High school seniors who have participated on a FIRST® Robotics Competition or FIRST® Tech Challenge team during their junior or senior years in high school, and who have applied and been accepted to Rice University as a full-time student planning to study engineering, computer science, computational and applied mathematics or statistics and have demonstrated financial needs are eligible for this $10,000 scholarship, renewable for up to four years.
Underrepresented minorities, students with disabilities and females are encouraged to apply. Students do not have to be admitted to Rice at the time of their application for FIRST® scholarships; however, receipt of the award is contingent upon you enrolling at Rice in engineering, computer science, computational and applied mathematics or statistics. The offer of the scholarship is not to be construed as an offer of admission to Rice University.

Oak Ridge National Lab Program for Graduate and Undergraduate Students
The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) offers three highly competitive internships and research fellowships, allowing students to participate in energy-related research. The 10-week programs provide a stipend, travel expenses and housing.
National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates
The NSF sponsors several opportunities for undergraduates to conduct hands-on research at sites across the country. Students must contact individual sites directly for information on specific programs, but the link above will provide an overview of research opportunities and program sites available.
2017 Nokia Bell Labs Internship
The Nobel Prize-winning organizaton is accepting applications for this competitive summer internship, where students will work and research in the ares of wireless communications, sustainability, cloud technologies, data analytics, wire communcaitons, machine learning and other cutting edge fields.
2017 Sysco Internship
Students with interests or majors in data science, engineering, statistics, economics or business are encouraged to apply for this opportunity with Sysco's Revenue Management Department.
